THE MOST GIVING AND PUREST BEING IN MY LIFE, TINA

My Aunt died and I thought it would be quite fitting to dedicate this to her. I called the piece ‘In Memory of Tina, not Lucia’ but then battled with the meaning behind the name as I dealt with my own grief.

Tina had effectively locked-in syndrome. When she began to lose the use of her body she requested the nursing staff to call her Lucia as she no longer felt like herself.

I have since let my bitterness go and have developed a new waveform LED of my voice saying ‘The most giving and purest being in my life, Tina’.
